True believers follow Jesus. We are "His" sheep, and we know that following Him means obeying every single one of His teachings. We know it is a spiritual journey to abide in Christ's Light, and that with every act of obedience and faith, we move one step closer to freedom from darkness. We look for Him, and hear Him, and try to be like Him. We see this journey as supernatural spiritual renewal—full of inner and outer transformation.

Following Jesus has made me feel understood, loved, and cared for. I know He is leading me home. I will never forget the darkness I was in, and that, no matter how bad my situation seemed, Jesus jumped into my mess and rescued me by fixing all the impossible problems in and around my life.

Jesus says, "My sheep know my voice; I am the good shepherd," "I am the way and the truth and the life," and "I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness."

When Jesus says, "my sheep know my voice," I feel He means those who walk in obedience to His ways. We understand His terminology about the world. We see that belief, obedience, and faith are the only way home. We know we need to be saved not only from our own ways of thinking and doing, but from the world; we know there's real meaning to our being here, and that something went terribly wrong from the start.

Those of us who understand are eternally thankful for Jesus, God the Father, and the Holy Spirit. We know Their love for us is immeasurable.

God the Father personally stated, "We were only trying to keep people safe." A statement I will carry forever.

Now, I see each member of God's Kingdom as the ultimate rescue team. I know God is fighting for "His" people. Those of us who believe and have faith in Him. Jesus is the ultimate definition of true love; He never gives up on anyone searching for Him and the truth.
